Where are ya going on the central coast? I'll be on Vandenberg this weekend. Leaving at 0300 to make sure we're through LA by 0600. Hopefully bag some quail and a pig or two. But either way, we're gonna have a good time.[/b]
Hey, PBR: I must know who you are--I am the guy that works out at the gun club on weekends. Come by and introduce yourself. I'll be duck hunting in the morning but will drop in to the club midmorning. Good luck on the hogs--I took a Captain out a week ago and put him on a nice 110 lb boar and he made a great shot offhand. Country sucks right now; incredibly dry and not a lot of quail. You might hunt quail in Area 6 'cause south base got way more rain and way fewer cows this year. Look forward to putting a face to a screen name.

We never made it to the gun club this weekend. Spent the whole weekend scouting and driving around. Saw some quail sunday as we were heading out. Didn't see any pigs at all. Saw a mountain lion friday while scouting in area 3. I'll be back up there again. Will definitely stop by the gunclub then.

I never made it either. Shot some ducks, but the wind was a killer! Going out tonight--my hunting buddy spotted four separate groups of hogs Friday night, so we are going to make a move on one of them this evening. I don't need pork, so am taking the video camera. Wish us luck.

Let me get this straight, we got horrible poets making poet jokes, got old fogies making bald jokes, yeah sounds like some bored hunters for sure.

Sounds like we all need some more pig hunts on the calendar.
