Youth hunters harvested a total of 16,615 deer during the early and late portions.
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Preliminary data from the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) shows that young deer hunters ages 6 through 15 checked 2,520 deer during Missouri's late youth portion of the 2015-2016 deer hunting season, which ran Jan. 2-3. Last year's late youth portion harvest total was 1,123.
