I was looking through my sons dozen Easton Jazz arrows and only five are straight and 2 of those have bad feathers. It will be some time before I can drive back to the shop to have them straightened, but some have been straightened already and I think they are breaking down more easily now.

The Jazz are really light and very small in diameter, but I am in need of something more "durrable". Like carbon.

I can make my own up for him but need to know what type of Carbon is out there and what vanes would be best suited for him? And what type of nocks?

my son shoots the Gold Tip Lightnings. they are a youth arrow for 35lb and lighter set ups. they are an all carbon shaft and are very durable. another option is the Gold Tip 35/55 Hunter shafts. those would also work well. as far as fletching goes feathers wouldnt be a bad choice as they are a little more forgiving in some cases.

He is pulling around #32 now? on a twisted bus cable and 2+ turns to go in the screws. He has maybey 3" or possibly 4" of draw length to go yet in his bow so it will be staying that way till he grows out of it. I have someone allready groomed to fill his shoes in less than 2 years

I need to look at the GT website for better understanding.

Do they have/need inserts or are they glued in tips?? ( I want/wish to keep them light as possible for now for now so I can adjust his last pin to 40 and have him reference the 15 on the 20 by eye for a close practice of learning how to use the pins inbetween.) he is currently 15-20-25-30-35 now- he wants to push 40 so I will let him as long as he does not become wild.

Thanks ALOT Oregon Archer.

Take a look at the Thunder Express carbon arrows made by Carbon Express. These are very good arrows for youth and at a good price. I think even Walmart sales them. Also I think they are good up to 40 lbs. Good luck !

WeEEEeeeEEEEeeEEEeee!!!

Well -with an empty house I could not sleep- (funny how the house seems dead without a ruckus going on) So I threw Ruger in the car and off to Stockton we ran

SO0O many great things. I went there for my son and ended up being pampered!

I got my son the GT Lightning carbons with 85gr. tips (thank you Oregon Archer and Ronnie for your help)- and his alunimmuinim arrows straightened (free straightnening)- now he can bloody the alumnimum and the fletch feathers and I have no more worries.

Jerry cut them to length and added 1/2" to grow into.
<
They are 1/2 the price of the alunimum also so they will be in the safe till his are toast and he can pay the pipper out of his own pocket.

He wanted to see me shoot when I told him how my arm is slapped and Wyane took out a 1/4" but I still needed the draw stops- He watched me and said my peep was way to low and appoligised for setting the bow up with his eyes and no contact lenses (like me)-

Talk about Grouping arrows- WOW!! I can Shoot!!!!

Some can see from the picts in the KMA threads and notice the string is not square on my nose- No More BABY!!

I tried the back release also "just to shorten up my draw" another 1/2" and between you and I- guess what came home with Ruger? (he can't bite this bone).
<
It is to cool- I put a 3 shot group 4 times carbon on carbon and one broken nock at 15 yards
<
I tried my old release just to see if it was the peep- nope- the release is where it is at as I was told by in2blacktail and Lou and my fellow JHO'ers from watching them at the KMA shoots and studieng there pic's.

I asked Jerry if he remembered Cal Hunter coming in the Friday before last from Tracy- and that he posted what a great and honest person he is- and his wife chirped in- "Did he say what a ** hole he is also?" and then proceded to talk with me for 20 minuets about how on their 40th aniversary they are going to Montana for a deer hunt "instead of Hawaii" - I did not have the heart to disagree with her and scolded Jerry while blinking on my blind eye from her to give the
