Nice goats! Can't wait for the details. My Dad and I tagged out in Likely Tables in '99.

Yes they came from the Tables. We enter the tables from the back though near Joseph Valley as if you were going to go towards Blue Lake. I scouted the area a couple weeks before the season and found an area holding some good bucks. I got to where i wanted to be at first light and right off the bat I was surrounded by shooter bucks. I had heavy ones, long ones and wide ones. I decided that a buck I was seeing about a 1/2 mile away was the one I wanted. Got to and area I thought I could make a stock from but then noticed another group of antelope way out in the flats and put the spotting scope on them. When I saw the buck through the scope I decided that was the one I wanted. His horns shot forward and out. New he wasn't the biggest in the area, but was unique. Walked about a 1/2 mile out into the flats and when I got about 1200 yards away I started the belly crawl. Ranged a lone juniper bush about 711 yards away and made that my goal. Bellied crawled the entire distance to keep a low profile. At 6'6" tall I didn't have much choice. About half way to the juniper a young buck came trotting my way and went right by me at about 20 yards and had no clue I was there. Eventually I made it to the juniper. Tired to put the range finder on the antelope but could not get a reading and there was nothing else to range. These antelope with there long hair are difficult to range. It's like trying to range a black cow. You get nothing. Crawled about anther 75 yards and the finally I think I was able to hit the antelope between the eyes with the range finder. Got a reading of 456 yards. Dialed my Night Sterling scope in for the yardage on my Howa 270 and got ready to send 140 grain Federal bullet his way. He turned broadside and I let it go. Hit him about 2" behind the shoulder, but about an 1" lower than I wanted. He stood straight away from me looking the opposite direction along with his ladies but he did not collapse. He eventually turned sideways and I let him have it again and he collapsed in his tracks. About 30 seconds later another buck ran over gabbed the ladies and headed off across the flat. When I get a break I will continue on with how Dads went down. Mine is 15" long with 4.5" cutters and 6" bases.
