2 major boat dock projects in Stockton approved

Boating facility projects total $892,000 -- At its November meeting, the California Department of Boating and Waterways approved two major projects in Stockton. It granted $100,000 to the city for phase one of construction of improvements to the Buckley Cove boat launching facility, including replacing the old boat launching ramp and apron with a new, four-lane ramp and apron. The state agency also granted an additional $792,000 to the city for improvements to the Louis Park boat launching facility, including expanding the site to four ramps and adding two boarding floats.
