I know you guys are going to have a good hunt. Tejon in Feb the hogs were so plentiful almost everyone who tried hard enough filled their tag. A few unfortunate hunters did not get so lucky but that's bound to happen to a portion of any group.

Can you guys please do me one favor......... Hunt the North side this year.... I hear the pigs are really booming over there. Almost every pig that was on the south went to the north end of the ranch after Feb's hunt.

What is the terrain like in terms of the vehicle? Does your truck get scratched up in brush? We are deciding which vehicle to take (the newer, more reliable one with shiny paint or the older beater which can get scratched but may be more challenged by a 1k mile trip) ???

Also sent you a message Speck, I need your address to send the appolication to!

Thanks,

George

Depends how wild you want to get. There are plenty of roads you can drive where you wont get scratched. You'll just have to hike a little more.

George, I drove my 06 F250 around those hills and didn't get a scratch on it. I didn't get a chance to cover the entire area but I didn't see anything I wouldn't take a newer vehicle on.
I am sure it's out there just not where I drove.
I seen two 06 Hummers hunting around the hills if that gives you an idea.

If you have a rig that can handle it - no worries...
But there are plenty of roads at Tejon that will apply very nice pinstripes, and worse.

Take my advice - if the road starts getting tight, it virtually NEVER "opens up" just a little ways up ahead.

You guys who were waiting for mailings, my apologies for the delay but they went out yesterday. That would include Henriksson, Superduty, Russ (re-send), and two others whose names elude me right now.

As of right now, I believe I have 10 paid apps in my folder.

Heya guys,

Everyone who has requested a packet, at this point, should have received it via mail by today (or tomorrow). If you sent me your info and haven't received your packet in the mail, let me know.

THanks!

After March comes April... and after April comes MAY!!!

Well, we're looking at about seven weeks before I have to turn in the applications and money to Barbara. I've got 12 paid apps in my folder right now out of a total quota of 50. There were 57 application packets mailed out.

Still plenty of time and open spots, fellas, but that calender keeps flipping.

Superduty,

My shop is about two miles from Parnell Park and I've got a BIG standup freezer that's only got a few packs of wahoo left in it. As a fellow JHO'r, I'd be happy to lend you the storage rights to my freezer. I'll even keep track of how many roasts are left and notify you immediately if any are missing.

Shawn Hicks... the name sounds familiar, but I don't have you on my spreadsheet. Someone please contact Shawn or let me know who's party he's with.

It's what I live for.

What're you doing online? Thought you were down south or something this weekend?

Nope, that was last weekend. This weekend, I am at home handling all of the service calls for northern California and Reno. Wooo Hoooo, what fun! At least I have been able to handle everything on the phone so far.

Come on guys. Get your checks to Slippin and Sliding, better known as Speckmisser. This will be my first POR and probably my last. So, I want to meet as many JHO'ers as possible.
