28-pound trout at Lake Tahoe

Eric St. Denis caught this beast of a trout this week at Lake Tahoe: 42-inches long, 28 pounds & 9 ounces! Eric was fishing with his dad, Gene St. Denis. They launched their boat from Cave Rock, located on the southeast shore of Lake Tahoe, just north of casino row at Stateline. They were trolling off the Cave Rock Shelf in 30 feet of water, said dad Gene, and Eric had rigged a 10-inch Monster Trophy Stick colored in a brown trout pattern.
