Hey Jesse

Hey Jesse I'm looking forward to go to fhl.. I have a few questions. My friend and I just got our hunter license and this will be our first hunt .. And my question is ... Do you guys go as a group hunt or everyone goes on their own ways and catch up later to show each others pigs and their stores ... And how bad is the terrain such as the mud ? Cuz I hear even with 4x4 u will get stuck ?

Depending on rain conditions it can get very bad for trucks do to there inbalance of front and rear weight. Also winches are a good idea to have if not its bout $250 for a tow truck to go out there and pull someone out.

Stay right in the middle of FHL at the mission

Most folks don’t know but you can actually rent a room to stay at the Mission Antonio de Padua which is right in the middle of FHL. They also allow you to use their kitchen facilities.

http://missionsanantonio.net/visiting

The Admiral, our older daughter and I are staying there 12.27-28 nights. We rented the suite – I think it was $110/night but they also have regular rooms which were less. I simply don’t recall the price. You have to call, the info is NOT on line. 831-385-4478

Regrettably I won’t be able to make it – we have a very long standing tradition of going lobster diving on New Year’s day. You all have fun and whack a few hogs…

Beers is good @ ccamps site only, but cannot have any alcohol in your cooler while in the field. If you do you'll find out the hard way. I'm considering it being there the 31st.
YOU CAN ALSO GET PIG ONLY PERMIT FOR $25
