Any upland hunters that run dogs out here in the Antelope Valley??

Hey all,

New member here. Looking for fellow upland hunters that run dogs out here in the Antelope Valley area. I have a 1.5 yo German Shorthair who is almost ready for the field. Would like to meet up with a fellow hunter and their dog to help finish up her training, take some upland birds/ locate some good spots, and just have some people to hunt with.

Planted hunts are your best bet this year, Check out antelope valley hunt club, There ar no birds anywhere around here. Atleast not in strong numbers... Save your dog the disappointment. Also consider joining Santa Clarita quail and Upland wildlife federation. Good bunch of guys that do there part to create and maintain environment that will sustain a healthy population of birds, you will find many a hunting buddy there... Good luck with your pup

Thanks for the info Motor. I took the dog out a lot during the season to scout and only found two small coveys on private land. It was horrible. I've been looking into AV Sportsmen club. Never heard of the Santa Clarita quail and upland wildlife federation though. I will definitely look into that. I appreciate all the info! Hope you guys had at least a DECENT season..
