I was drawn for the elk fundraiser tag. Trying to figure out what I want to do. But definitely feel blessed. Have put in every year, all three species and have max elk points still. Any info or advice would be appreciated. Will be starting in northeastern zone.

I would hunt exclusively in the northeastern zone. Unless you wanted a tule elk from La Panza. By far the biggest bulls in the state are in the northeastern zone. Are you limited to hunting the same season dates as the regular elk hunts?

The fundraising season dates are longer, they typically start a week earlier than the earliest season for that zone and run to the end of the season (again for that zone). The tag is good in 5 zones, Northwestern, Marbles, Siskiyou, Northeastern, and La Panza (off the top of my head). Northeast is a good zone with some really nice elk. If you want a tule then the La Panza is the place to be. Good luck, give me a call if you have any questions 916 445-9992
