My thoughts also, might be a "better" deal than one person footing the entire cost, but a "good" deal to kill some hogs - I don't think so.

Public land hunting is difficult, no doubt about it - and it will cost you some time and gas money, but I can assure you that the cost won't be anywhere near a grand per hog. I think the last two hogs I whacked cost me a grand total of about $200.00 (total) in gas (plus the time involved).

Having said that, Tejon is a beautiful place, with lots of wildlife.

Okay, I'll chime in again. I know there are guided hunts that are pretty much a guaranteed harvest if you can shoot straight, they usually run about $500-600 for a weekend hunt. The problem with most guided hunts, is that you never really learn much about hunting pigs on public lands. For a person new or fairly new to pig hunting, that wants to go it on their own, and actually try to learn a few things about pig hunting, and still have great odds at harvesting animals, I'd say this is a pretty damn good deal. After all, you have access to the ranch all year. The ranch has good numbers of pigs. If you can make numerous trips, you should easily be able to pick and chose your pig. Not to mention the other benefits of this membership. If your hunting for the best price per pig, well this deal isn't for you. If your looking for more than just the best price per pig, well this could be a wonderful option.

So is it 3 grand for 3 pigs or 6? 6 is a good deal, 3 is less so. That being said, Tejon is real close for the socal folks so you really cannot beat that if you hunt out of LA.

Any memberships at Tejon that include deer?
