Do you have to pay for the hog you stick and can not find?

Sweet!!

Good to know that the hogs were in all stands. Yep, the guys are sticking with going, so we are good. Next trip I will let you know, and the next one you plan, please let me know. Did anyone hunt out of stands 1 or 2?

Congratulations again.

You pay $575 for the weekend and that includes your hog. If you draw blood then that is your hog!

Every stand was hunted out of at least once over the weekend. All had sightings even with the swirling winds and small front blowing in. It would be awesome to get a hunt together with guys from JHO! I can't wait to see your pictures, Ron!

No sour grapes here to each his own! I had a blast and wanted to share with guys who love hunting like I do!

Thanks for all the love even if this type of hunt is not your cup of tea!

Mike,
Glad to get to meet you and Joe,he is a funny dude!We had a great time on this hunt also,I was a little skeptical of the high fence part of this hunt also. But being my and my buddies first bowkill attempt,we set this up anyway.Like Mike said Tony and Mike are good(bowhunter) guys and try their best to make the hunt to fit your needs,Being it a close walk blind or a lung worker like #10.We spent alot of time in the blinds this weekend and it wasn't a canned hunt.We went hours without seeing a hog at times,Sat. morning we were in the blind from sunup to 10:30 and didn't see a hog...
I don't want to hijack your post Mike, but congrats on a great hog and sticking with it when things are down....
That was a bruiser hog..especially for a first with a bow!

Rw,
Yes,my buddy hunted 1&2 Friday night and Sat morning and saw a ton of action including two or three right at the 200lb range.I hunted 3 Friday night and Sat morn and then 10 Sat afternoon and 5 on Sunday.Saw alot of hogs on my way to 10 behind 1 near the property line.Damn, sounds like a who's on first thing!
O.K. I was going to start another post, but I'll just continue on with this one(hope you don't mind Mike!,keeping the Hoss Hoggs theme).
Friday we got there a little bit late, due to my work schedule, but Mike got us dialed in with the ranch and rules real quick.Headed out to the blinds and my buddy and I took #3 and other buddy took #2.We weren't in the blind 5 min and had a 175-185 lb boar come out at 15 yds and walk right through.Decided not to end the hunt right then as per Forknhornreggie and Roberts recommendation.Held out that evening and saw about 30 hogs up to 200lbs.Let me tell you all hell breaks loose right at dark and walking out of there with pigs on all sides, gets a little hairy....
Saturday was back to #3 and Nada nothing until 9:45,when my partner is out and I hear a noise and look over my shoulder and see a Barbados ram sneaking in.My buddy wanted one worse than a hog,so I give him the elbow and he opens his eyes and stare to the right and whisper his rams are coming in.There are two,one brown and one white based,I ask him which one he is going to take and he says brown.I hit the video switch on and zoom in on the brown ram and then he says White when they shifted,so I rezoom on the white.Click, hear the release go and whack, but I didn't see the arrow in the camera.Rams split,I said, what happened,he was shooting at the Brown one and shot right over him at 22yds.He was shaking like a leaf, even after the shot, his first shot at biggame with a bow.He beat himself up and shot the bow back at camp and was dead on...
Back out Sat after lunch back to the far corner blind 10,nothing for the first two hours then a Hawaiian ram started working his way in after 10-15 min.Gary gets off an awesome shot at 20yds,smokes him, runs 15 and pilesup.High fives around and we let him sit for 45 min head down and the other ram is looking through the brush at us at 35 yds.Gary takes a shot and pins a oak tree(laugh)rams moves down the brush and we sneak up and he smokes him on a front 1/4ing shot at 30-35.High fives again...his first bowkill(s)in one day. Here's a couple pics...

Man,I got the pics in backwards.I don't have the skills as the pros on here for the suspense awards!
Well we got the rams out and sat out the next 4-5 hours with nothing in sight, couldn't make up our minds to move or not. So,we stayed and at the last few minutes a good boar worked his way up to us and I got to fulldraw and he looked right at me and I was still trying to turn, stuck there for what seemed like 10 min.,but was only about 60-90 sec.Came over the rail and hit my lower limb on the rail, hog looked up,reset points, tensioned release and as Micheal Wadell would say "PORKCHOPS" boar squealed ran all out and pilled up at 20 yds and rolled all the way down the ravine. We ended up with one more small brown and black boar on Sunday morning and rolled out. Thanks again, for the info from everyone and support. And thanks to Tony and Mike for their hard work and friendly hunters camp atmosphere....

Oneshot,
Two out of the three of us got hogs and the third had multible opportunities, but held out for a toad. But he was cool with that,he saw a few right at and shy of 200lbs and wanted a little bigger.Tony has hogs on that place at well over 225+,and a ton around 100-150.It is a high fence ranch with four foot hogwire, but alot of the property is covered in Chamise brush about 5 feet tall and they are in there thick.Just got to wait them out as Reggie and SMA said..

Excellent tales, both of you! I love the pic of the arrow in the oak tree. That's priceless right there, and needs to be laminated on the mounting plaque with the trophy.

Congrats to all of you guys. Even though it is high fence, you still have to make an archery shot. Great job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
