Did any of you catch this show where he was stickin' hogs in Texas? I've never watched this show until now and it's pretty darn entertaining. Between the training he put himself through and what he had to say about it....I'm scared to hit the woods.

I like Tred, but while hunting sea ducks alone in the he sent his dog out to far and damn near lost him (to a rip tide), and pissed in his waders on camera. One thing is for sure he is hardcore/nutz.

I watched that episode as well and witnessed him about kill the guide after he flailed his arms like a school girl trying to stab a pig with his huge bowie, he should learn how to carry a weapon and stick to fishing.

I thought the best and funniest part of that show was when he had 3 people tie ropes onto a 3D hog archery target so they could wiggle it around while he tried to jump on it for practice. Now that's quality television right there.

To me he is like Nugent. A frickin nut job with a few good points to make. Maybe Ted is less in your face that Ted but he's more of dufus too. That said, I still watch hs show on occasion for the entertainment value.

Whack job or not I love his enthusiasm ! And seeing him kill a grizzly with a long bow and home made arrows pretty much trumps your negative comments. He goes for it and isn't afraid to show his screw ups.

some of his episodes I like him, some I don't, I loved the grizzly episode, hated the knife hunting one since he almost gutted himself and guide a few times, hated the caribou since he has stated many times his personal limit is 15-20 yards but was launching bombs at 50 plus, but he is fun to watch on most occasions, the javi episode was pretty good, nothing like some butt shot peccary for the crock pot.

Pretty much sums up how I feel about him and show. Hit and miss, just like his shooting

Barta is a little too egotistical for my taste. He has some amazing accomplishments...there's no doubt about that. But, for the love of God, does he have to tell you how many big eye tuna he's caught in his life at every opportunity? And everything else he's done he wants you to know about. Must have a home full of mirrors!

Pure entertainment you gotta take your hat off to him. He hunts public land, none of the high fences and he's almost always got a smile even when he screws up.
I missed the hog episode but catch his show whenever I can.

Actually I believe he has only hit public land twice, the last elk episode and the bear, his others in colorado were with the same guide on a private ranch, same for the javie.

But you have to admit even if you hate the guy, he says what is on his mind, so you know where he stands, dad gum new yawkers.

I've seen 2 episodes and I'm not a fan. The pig sticking while the hog was held by dogs was not the big deal he made it out to be. Sunday I saw him slinging arrows up in the air at flying ducks with cows walking in the background, I hope he didn't hit any of them.
Just my 2 cents

I love the show but he can be a real nitwit at times. I hunt hogs with dog and knife and although they did a terrific job of portraying what it is like boar hunting, I was cringing at the thought of him accidentally stabbing a dog. Way too wild with his knife. Eh, I give him credit though. At least he was learning from his mistakes. That said, in the end, he still didn't know how to safely blade a boar; calmly wiggle your knife in through the armpit. Instead, he jammed the knife right into the side through both lungs. Nothing wrong with that as far as killing the pig goes but I was worried that his big knife might go all the way through and poke one of the dogs. I take it that his guide didn't take the time to instruct him on how to blade the pig.

I watched the woodland Caribou one in Newfoundland. Being a trad archer since I was a kid I know how tough it is to hunt with a trad bow, you have to get in close to 20 yards to be effective and have a good chance. Tred points that out and then can't make a stalk to save his life and then gets frustrated and starts lobbing arruhs at 40 and 50 yards at spooked alert game.

Brutal. Pathetic. A real embarrasment to the trad archers of the world.
<

The worst part was him stalking a group of Caribou and then they flush and he runs after them and fires a Hail Mary shot at 50 yards.
<

He needs a boot in the arse if you ask me. Now some kid watching that crap is gonna think spraying and praying is okay. No wonder he has a dozen arruhs in his quiver.

The Barta Way?

Tred may be one of the worst examples of a hunter I've seen in ages.

I would hate for a kid who wants to hunt and has no one to teach him, watch this guy.

My eleven year old son was questioning his shots on the caribou.

The guy is a joke. I'm ashamed that he portrays himself as a hunter to so many viewers.
