School is out and the summer heat is in. The vacation season is in full gear across Northern California, lakes are at their highest levels of the year for boating, water sports, fishing and camping, and blazing temperatures will arrive this weekend across much of California. Hundreds of smaller lakes are full, especially in the mountains, and many of the big recreation lakes in the foothills are near 100 percent of average for the start of summer, that won’t last.
