BigRacks 2007 season

kind of been hiding this year. i have kept up with all of the stuff just never posted. i have been posting on another forum, but thought i better not forget about the site that got me started. got alot of snow this year and cold temps made the deer drop really early. the white tails have almost all dropped and the mulleys are just getting started.

i went to a new spot on the 2nd of Feb. and hit the motherload. i hadnt even scouted yet and within the first 30 minutes i had 8 freshies. then walked another 2 hours and found 1 more. 2 sets and the rest singles, (9 for the first day out). one of the singles should count as a set because he only had 1 antler and an antler growth conected the 2 bases.

end of day one and i was happy!
almost found more freshies in 1 day than i found all of last year

i am doing much beter with the atl pics this year. last year i had to pic them up right away

i actually saw this buck right before i picked up the antler. he had a really flat head and i figured out why when i found his shed

the next day i took my dad to another new spot not far from where i went the day before.
i came out with 2 freshies and my dad got skunked.

the first was a dandy of a 3 pointer

and this litle feller

end of the day. still aint bad and i now have 11 fresh white tails and i only found 2 fresh white tails last year and 9 fresh mulleys. i already passed my freshies from last year in 2 days

I like the one with the wierd skull growth. man that's cool, I've never seen anything like that before.

i went out a week later and found this one in a different spot
there are alot of deer there i just have to wait for them to leave before i look
i just looked for a minute for this one

no atl cause i didnt want to spook the deer

by the way alot of deer is like this many. lol

and finnally my pride and joy.
i have been watching a buck that is very massive for over a month now. i try to look at him 4 times a week. the sunday before last i saw him with both antlers.

2 days later he had dropped his left side

i waited untill he moved to look for it wich was friday morning. he still had his right side and was quite a ways away so i went to look for the lefty. we had gotten 6 inches of powder unfortunatly and i knew the chances where slim.
20 minutes later i was running to the pickup happy as you can get .

i saw this where i had already walked once

i knew what it was and i couldnt believe it
i had to get it out of the snow

it was thicker than i thought

2 and a half pounds!
2 brow tines
a sticker
and a bladed g3 that has 3 small points
9 in all!



cant find the right side, which was the better antler. it was bladed in the same spot and the sticker was way longer. the main beam isnt broken either

the pics with the black ring were taken with a cheap digital camera that i held up to my spotting scope. it is hard to get a good pic but i am getting good at it now. u cant zoom with the camera or it will get blury. u can only zoom with the scope. those pics are about 200 yards away or more so it does a pretty good job

Great suff mate.I love those mulie horns.Nice pic of the deer on the flat too.You know when you've seen a few because ya just can't be bothered counting them.lol.Good hauls in that area bye the looks.Congrats.

WOW THAT MULIE SHED IS INCREDIBLE. THE SKULL GROWTH ON THE OTHER IS REALLY COOL TOO. SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE TURNED PROFESSIONAL.

i dont know about professional, but i am defenatly having a better season than last year. i played hooky today and took a friend out to a new spot. we walked about five miles and he found one at the end of the day. i got skunked, but it was his first antler he has ever found so it was a good day.

Awesome finds and some great pics too! What kind of crop field are all of those deer on? There ought to be a pile of sheds around there.

the 150+ white tails were gone today and me and my buddy headed out very exited. i found 2 in the first 10 minutes and then we saw it. footprints. on the side that we were the only ppl that had permission. i am almost positive it was the guy that chewed me out and told me to leave those deer alone. he owns right on the other side of the fence which was the good spot anyways. but he still went on my side after he picked all his up. we saw footprints all over and walked for 3 more hours and came up with a small dead buck (my friend found it and i was happy for him so he didnt get skunked. but i am in a horrible mood because we should have picked up over 20.
we went and talked to the landowner that gave us permission and told him about it. he said he never saw anybody but he thought it was probably him also. he also told us that he has asked him several times if he could hunt but he told him NO. didnt stop him did it.
the bad part is this guy chews ppl out for hunting on his land without permission and he goes on other ppls land when he was told not to.

here they are. should have been alot more but some ppl are A** holes.
i am gonna give him a peace of my mind!
