I having a really bad time fishing at Camp Roberts, Ive been twice and seen many people catching fish there, but still havent managed yet! Ive mostly been using rooster tails and Kastmasters w/ 6 lbs test. I have no idea whats up w/ this and what works at Camp Roberts and where most of the fish are caught. Any tips or tricks would be helpful. Thanks a lot!

Loye,

I will tell you the secret to catching fish. Your line has to be in the water. Seriously, my dad told me this when I was about your age. The more time you spend fishing and the more time you have your line in the water the better your chances of catching a fish. Many people go fishing and spend more time walking around or taliking than fishing.

Here is a a tip for you. Have your rods rigged before you to where you plan to fish. This will make fishing time more productive.

I am a decent bass fisherman and catch boat loads of other kinds of fish. The first few times at any new river or lake are tough. You have to put in your time.

Good luck. CR has plenty of fish.

Down stream south end of low water br sliding sinker 1/4 oz with a 2 ft leader 14 treble Rainbow power bait, and let bounce the bottom. I caught 5 sat before work and 4 sun after work. I think if you try this you will get the fish.
Good luck
