Great story and hunt, best I've seen, Cameron would be proud...would have been better if you hiked in starting at 1AM (just like him)!! Why did you pack the hooves out up that hill!! Something you will never forget!

Shay Mann,
Thank you so much for the best postings I have seen. What a hunt! Great bulls! You guys are studs, that is real do it yourself action. I love the all pics and how you broke down each day and the events. Better than those darn hunting mags or shows on OLN. Real guys, on your own. Looking at the pics, you guys are dialed in with the gear, camp set-up and the know how. Great job. You might think about getting your outfitters/guide license
Absolutely freakin awesome story!! On one hand it is a shame that the weather sucked, the fog makes glassing horrible. However, at least you were fortunate enough to have good weather while hunting for the Elk. Many congrats.
Kirk & Shay,
Both of you are right...That bull is surely dead next year....I can picture watching some orange fletching fly through it now Great post man...
I put together this streaming video of the hunt. About 24 minutes long.
Some of the footage is from the August scouting trip with Kevin, Arrowslinger myself and Jordan. Jordan is the kid who had the horses that we scouted from.
The September hunt, it was just Kevin and myself on foot. After a drop off from Barry and Marshall.
