Hi all. I posted something similar to this in the mule deer forum. Posting it here cause not sure if this is a better location for it. Anyways, I am going deer hunting for the first time this season. I have D9. Think I have narrowed it down to the Piute Mountain area. Specifically, setting up camp near Landers Meadow or Landers Guard Station and then hiking out from there. Any advice on hunting this area? Also, I have a 32 foot trailer with truck. Was thinking about bringing that. Will that work up there or am I better off tenting it? Thanks so much and if you already read or answered this post on the other forum, sorry for the redundancy...new to the forum stuff. Thanks in advance for any replies and hope y'all have a successful season.

I'd suggest driving to your put-in spot before your hunt date and seeing if the trailer will make it there. Some of those backroads are tank traps.

Besides a bit more scouting before the hunt can't hurt.

I agree with Rob...some of those spot are not meant for a trailer...but if u hunt the old burned areas...they hold some big bucks...good luck and welcome to the forum
