Just got back.  Beautiful weather but just fair fishing.  Could not fish B-port res. as the boat motor would not cooperate.  Lower twin was decent for a couple fish, early mornings and late evenings were supposed to be a much better bite.  Robinson creek was good for several planters as was Little Virginia Lake.  Worm's outfished the power bait hands down.  West Walker was running a bit too fast and dirty, give it a few more weeks.  See flyfishing page for East Walker report.  Overall the area seemed just a bit crowded but certainly not bad for Memorial weekend.

Beautiful weather and moderate crowds.  Fished Robinson Creek for several planters on any nymph you threw at them.  West Walker still running too hard and off color.  East Walker was flowing perfectly and fishing was tough but rewarding if you worked at it.  I fished both evenings and broke off a nice fish and had a couple of good strikes.  Exciting none the less.  I only saw 3 fish landed but they were all 18-24 inch browns.  Fish were hitting the small nymphs.  Size 20-22 brassies, WD-40s, pheasant tails, zebras, and micro may's seemed to be what most guys were using.  There was a good rise each evening starting about 30 min before dark.  It was tough as the water had beet hit hard and in order to fish a good stretch you usually had to wait until a guy or two got out of the water for you to get in.  This river should really be hot midweek without the crowds.  Good luck for all headed up to God's country.
