California DFG to Host Waterfowl Hunting Clinic in Williams

The Department of Fish and Game (DFG) Advanced Hunter Education Program, in partnership with Wilderness Unlimited, is hosting a waterfowl hunting clinic in Williams Sept. 22.

DFG Northern Enforcement District Assistant Chief Mike Carion and Warden Aaron Freitas will instruct at the clinic. Topics will include decoy placement, blind building, ballistics, calling, duck identification, dog use, gear and garb, game care and cleaning, cooking tips and safety. The clinic will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and costs $40. Lunch is available for $5.

Interested hunters ages 10 and older may attend. Registration will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants receive a packet of information approximately two weeks prior to the clinic which will include a map to the facility, an agenda, and a list of items to bring.
