hey guys work has had me really busy i had a great time as always i was running late and got to choppers gate about 630am on friday and as i was going up the raod i seen a small pig run accross the road in front of me but it never stopped i stopped off at a spot before going to the cabin but didnt see anything else so i whent to the cabin and unloaded as the guys came in i got to meet them its always nice to put faces with names after some storys and lunch we all made plans and headed out that night i didnt see any pigs but got to see some nice turkeys after a good nights sleep i head to another spot parked and started to walk down a trail not more then 100yds i hear a crunch in the brush and freeze i wait a minute or so then hear footsteps i know its a hog so i quickly figure out about where it should come out and set up for the shot then i see the hogs nose then its front feet then there he is 25 feet in front of me broadside i draw back anchor and no pins i couldnt see the pins so i guessed on where the pins where and released and yes i was wrong it was a clean miss after a short hike i couldnt relocate the hog so i called it a morning and went back to the cabin a little later the guys started coming in and they all had good stories we hung around the cabin and watched pops make some ossome shots with his bow and listened to some good hunting stories from rick later that evening i hunted below where i was in the morning i seen a few more turkeys but no more pigs so i picked up beach bow hunter and headed back to the cabin and as he said we had a pig right in front of him 20 feet broadside and he missed

Good luck on Mother's day TRA. I know what you mean. I started seeing the bottom of my freezer right before this hunt and really wanted a nice meaty hog. I'll get one next time!

Here's the DL on the pig-down question.

A few hogs were shot and not recovered. Rick shot and recovered 1 hog. Rick is not a JHO member, he's a friend of choppers. SO it doesn't look like we'll get to see his hog.

Sorry.
