hey guys work has had me really busy i had a great time as always i was running late and got to choppers gate about 630am on friday and as i was going up the raod i seen a small pig run accross the road in front of me but it never stopped i stopped off at a spot before going to the cabin but didnt see anything else so i whent to the cabin and unloaded as the guys came in i got to meet them its always nice to put faces with names after some storys and lunch we all made plans and headed out that night i didnt see any pigs but got to see some nice turkeys after a good nights sleep i head to another spot parked and started to walk down a trail not more then 100yds i hear a crunch in the brush and freeze i wait a minute or so then hear footsteps i know its a hog so i quickly figure out about where it should come out and set up for the shot then i see the hogs nose then its front feet then there he is 25 feet in front of me broadside i draw back anchor and no pins i couldnt see the pins so i guessed on where the pins where and released and yes i was wrong it was a clean miss after a short hike i couldnt relocate the hog so i called it a morning and went back to the cabin a little later the guys started coming in and they all had good stories we hung around the cabin and watched pops make some ossome shots with his bow and listened to some good hunting stories from rick later that evening i hunted below where i was in the morning i seen a few more turkeys but no more pigs so i picked up beach bow hunter and headed back to the cabin and as he said we had a pig right in front of him 20 feet broadside and he missed
sorry just had to sir him up a little lol he knows im kidding sunday morning i tried another spot and kicked up a nice hog but i was on the wrong side of the fence so as i was climbing the fence i spoked out 4 more little ones that i didnt see untill i was half way over the fence i relocated the first pig and stalked him for about 45 mins untill he got tried of me and ran off over the hill so i whent back to the cabin and loaded up choppers place is always a great place and the guys from jho always make it a fun trip hope to see you all agian on another hunt ... oh and the above menioned pig we tracked thru all the tunnels after we fund it it only had a minor flesh wound we tried to flush it out for a shot but that hog had other plans so we decided to save for for the next trip
