Just saw that picture again, and found it amazing that no one has mentioned that the truck shown is a "special edition" Pole Setter Toyota with the 18' bed. That hog (50lbs on the hoof) is on the tailgate, and our own Ass Stabber is sitting back against the rear window. Perspective IS everything.

OK, so even if this were true... that hog would still go 50lbs bigger than anything I've ever killed with the bow.

Yeah AS isn't the biggest guy around either, so his small tiny frame makes the pig look huge!

Man sombody take the last spot you guys are killing me. Ive been wanting to go for a long time ive been waiting for a long time for the right dates. Ive got to work the 11th 12th and 13th I would take it off but the 11th is a holiday for me ( dobble time and a half) its a $1000.00 weekend for me. If I gave it up my wife would set my bow on fire.

Well I had the chat with the wife last night. Went something like this:

Me: Ya know, next weekend is our anniversary.
Her: Yeah, I know.
Me: Were you thinking of doing anything?
Her: You are going pig hunting aren't you?
Me: Well, I had it planned but didn't realize when I booked the trip it was on our anniversary.
Her: You should go, it's the last time you can get to Choppers this year right?
Me: Yup.
Her: Don't worry, go hunting we'll celebrate the anniversary another night.

I was sweatin' that conversation a bit, glad it worked out, I can still hunt and not piss off the missus. She's not the type to bring it back up later so she does mean it. I guess I'll have to plan something nice for the little lady for this one

It took me 12 years to get mine to be that kind.......oh wait we have only been married 11. Back to the old drawing board.

Dang Steve... how long have ya'll been married?

I get that from my wife, but after 17 years, she's probably open to getting rid of me every chance she gets. We've never been real big on most of the formal celebrations/holidays anyway.

My wife is similar in that respect Phil, in terms of the formal holidays. I even get out of Valetines day since she thinks it's a useless holiday and would rather get dinner and flowers out of the blue on ANY day other than valentines day. Could be worse I suppose

I have a spring fishing trip that occasionally lands on our anniversary, but my wife let's me go anyway. It's a father&son trip w/a c ouple other father&son combos. I consider her letting my son and I go an anniversary gift.

So I guess it's high fives for understainding wives of hunters/fishers.

BTW, everybody good luck on the hunt.
New guys, don't worry about hunting a new place, b/c the veterans will help you out.

The conversation BDB had with his wife was almost exactly the one I had last month with my wife. We've been married for 7, but together for 14 years.

She knew how excited I was to finally get to go pig hunting at Chopper's and wanted me to have fun. It worked out because I had a great time hunting and got lucky enough to get one. It tasted great, I just smoked one of the hams and it was amazing. Can't wait to go again. Good luck boys!

I'll bring my gear and measuring sheets. Hey Chopper is that the Monterey either sex hunt? I assume it is and you will be down in round springs. Any hogs seen down there or are you keeping out leaving the deer alone? Try and stick that buck early so I can check out the area for hogs on Saturday, I love that area
