We conducted our first PLM antelope hunt last weekend and it was a success. I auctioned the tag off at the Exeter MDF dinner. The guy who won the auction brought along his son, two grandsons and the son's father in law. They drove around the property in the morning and did not see anything. Then they went out in the afternoon and found a nice buck. As I told them to do, once they spotted it from the road, they drove past and out of sight and then walked back to it. I don't know much about goats but they said this guy would score in the book. It measured 16 1/4 inches.
Thanks again for the PLM TAG you gave the Exeter Chapter of the Mule Deer Foundation. We were happy to auction it for you and look forward to working with you again. Coon Camp Springs is a great example of how the PLM system should work here in California. Jeff and his family were very happy with the trip, and wanted me to thank you again. I am glad we were abel to provide you with some much needed dollars to continue your ranch projects and at the same time generate dollars to support the Mule Deer and Blacktail deer here in California.
Speck/BigDog--that's is an awesome animal. That will help next years value. Congrats on your success and hope to see good pictures of your 2007 PLM animals.
BigDog, I can always count on pictures from you and Speck, we can always count on your prose.
Hitech, maybe BigDog or Eddie can remember the exact cost. It was well under $2K, which is a pretty good deal. The hunt was technically unguided, but lodging was provided.
