Crackdown at Havasu
5/29/03
Arizona Republic
Law enforcement agencies, including Game and Fish, are cracking down on illegally moored watercraft at Lake Havasu.
Owners are being notified by registered mail and given 30 days to remove their watercraft.
Those who fail to comply could receive a citation.
"The plan is not intended to prevent watercraft owners from temporarily anchoring watercraft while in use, such as houseboat users anchoring in an area up to 14 days while on the boat," said Becky Wright, regional law enforcement program manager for Game and Fish.
