2021 missed a buck with my AR15 at 50 yards
2022 shot a black bear with my 30-06, no shots at a deer.
2023 missed a buck at 75 yards with my 30-06
2024 switched to a longbow to get a longer season hunting season and be able to practice more shooting. Missed a 4x4 at 35 yards and two arrows. Missed a doe at 30 yards.
2025 finally sealed the deal with my compound bow on a public land deer!
Snuck by some oaks that I knew were hot and bumped a doe out. Came back about 2 hours later and posted up on the north side of those group of oaks with the wind in my face.
I said I’d give it an hour and a half and see if anything came in.
45 minutes later I hear some crunching to my left and sure enough this buck was walking in cautiously.
As he passes behind one oak I pick up my bow.
When he hits the next oak I draw back.
As he steps out at 19 yards, off went my bow hitting him in the money spot with a full pass through.
Buck runs no more than 15 yards before piling up 30 yards in front of me!
