Got a rese for gadwell, anyone been recently?? are the spaced blinds even worth trying to use or am i just better off finding decent water to set up on?? Looks like its laid out pretty well so my plan was to not even try blinds, just walk down levy with sun to my back till i hit a space with no lights and then hike in a bit.....or are the blinds arranged so that you cant hunt the ponds if someone is in a blind on it as far as spacing wise?????

The blinds are fine, if you can snag one. You have to be quick out of the lot.
You can also hunt the periphery of some ponds away from the blinds, or look for ponds with no blinds.

Hunted it several times last year. Some fun blinds. Lots of spots in the blind ponds to hunt without disturbing the guys in the blinds. I like at least 150 yards space personally. It's attainable there. Good number of blinds are out in open water and hard to crowd. Probably your first time out you want to mark some on your app. Hard to find in the dark ! I'm with you on the not rushing . Always someone who can beat me out there. I like to be organized and not waste time . I like to beat the lottery guys at least when I have a rese ! Good luck. Hope I draw it later this year

right now, the south grasslands are tougher than tough. recent trips - didn't evn shoulder my gun. Birds have found sanctuaries and hold all day there.

Things will get brighter. Hoping the full moon allowed some bird to migrate south. Tons of pintail holding up at Sac closed zone. Seeing more teal arrive there too..

Patience is needed right now.

Sac looked like a bee hive on the webcam this morning! Ducks buzzing around everywhere in the south wind.
