DFG is proposing new regulations to support an increase in the number of hunter education instructors in the state. Currently, there are not enough instructors to keep up with the public’s demand for mandatory hunter education classes. The regulations would create an incentive program to help recruit new instructors and to retain current ones.

Interesting. I think a good incentive pay for being an instructor should be the ability to purchase an additional tag (such as three deer tags instead of two). A good long term service incentive bonus would be not a raffle but a guaranteed voucher to discount a private hunt, such as a private hog hunt at Tejon Ranch. Something to consider. A raffle is not a sure thing and honestly, I could do that without being an instructor. Now, if I was an instructor and I knew for my hard work I was going to get a discounted rate on a single private hunt, that would be really nice. Just a thought.
