It's been tough going, about a nine months since my last public land pig in Southern California. Just couldn't make it happen, but not for lack of trying. As some of you know, public land hogs in the Southland are just so darn difficult to find, and when you do find them, you gotta be able to get on 'em and make the shot. It finally came together (again) yesterday evening when after two months, I patterned three of 'em and connected on a smallish boar. Would have liked a bigger sow, but I had to get pork in the freezer, so the 125 lb. boar would have to do. A 24 yard shot at last shooting light, and he went less then twenty yards (pass thru with internal distruction). Should be a tasty one!
