Seems like a few folks on get over to Fort Hunter Liggett for pig hunting fairly often. I'm think of getting a permit for the season myself and giving it a try late fall through early spring. I just had a few offbeat questions for the regulars...
1) Any experience with FHL unloaded weapon transport regs and detachable magazines? If my Tikka T3 is riding unloaded and empty in a hard case but it's detachable mag is stuffed with shells yet fully detached and riding in my pack or pocket are the MPs or wardens gonna write me up? Seems this rule is supposed to mirror California law in which case a fully detached and separated mag although itself loaded should be legal...
2) What are the dining options on base like? Any decent places to grab a bite if I'm not feeling like camp chow?
Thanks in advance for the input.
