We received nearly 1,000 applications to fill 64 slots. The application period was open for only 10 days. Apparently y'all are looking for some good spots to go pig hunting (no duh, huh?).

Will the draw results be posted anytime soon? I also sent in my application but the number given is not mines. It's my brother's cell and he's on the road alot so it would be nice to know if I was drawn or not.

All successful hunters have been contacted and notified. Due to the number of inquiries we have been receiving about this, we will post the drawing results on-line. I'll provide the link once it's up.

I suggested that my buddy submit an application last week. Luckily, my suggest paid off; he got drawn. He called me last night and offered me first dibs as his wingman. I graciously accepted. He's drawn for the 8th and 9th, so that means it's gonna a rush to put in my vacation request. I'll provide an update of the hunt after the action begins. Stay tuned.

So did mine. Same day. Just got the email today. He doesn't know yet - he's going to freak out. It's going to be a good week for my two sons. #5 at Sac Refuge on the 11th for the youth hunt, then one son get drawn for the 15th, 16th at Bobcat Ranch and my other son got drawn for the "share the tradition" doe hunt at the Tejon Ranch for the 17th and 18th. None of these hunts do I get to bring a gun but I'm looking forward to all three as much as any out of state hunt I've done personally. I can't wait for any of them!

Sounds to me that you should try to buy a lottery ticket...

Hey buddy, I think getting drawn is nothing compared to took a shot and missed, then come back a day later and put a nice black sow down.

Did you get a chance to check out Cedar Rough?

I guess I'll go and harvest a pig out of Liggett this wekend since I didn't draw. I really wanted to hunt with a different scenery and not deal with what areas will be open for hunting. Oh well I got a few tied to some trees at Liggett for next weekend.lol

My friends kid got drawn on the 13th and 14th. I couldn't put my kid in on the Junior days because school is still in session.

You couldnt pull you kid out of school for two days if they were to get drawn???? Dang I know when my girls are of age and get drawn during a school day and if they wanna go then NO school.
Their not gonna have a chance to do that forever(junior hunts). And the odds for the junior's has to be better than the adult drawings.

Just my :two cents:

It's the principal, school is ALWAYS more important than hunting/fishing, baseball or football, in my family.
