BODEGA BAY-- Still the hot port for king salmon, with limits the rule all week, and some big salmon still filling up the fish boxes on the party boats. The New Sea Angler reported limits all week from near Bird Rock, ending up the week right out at the whistle buoy. The best day was on Thursday, when the wind started to lighten up, and the 34 anglers on board scored limits by 10:30 a.m. The same report came from the Calico, which is running two trips per day, with limits pretty much both trips, every day. The fish are a wide range of sizes, but the jackpot winners are generally monsters--and there were rumors of a 52 pounder caught on a private boat.
