• SACRAMENTO RIVER, Sacramento – There was good trolling for smallish striped bass (to 8 pounds) between Rio Vista and Freeport, and around Verona. But fishing was slow through Sacramento proper, except for catfish in slow parts of the river and in the many area sloughs.
