Free hog hunt for vets. Drawing names Sunday.

When it was mentioned it was not a real deal and up till you no one said it was. I did not submit for it for the same reason as JustGuy, more out there that deserve this opertunity than me.
Appologies Ism415 for the misunderstanding, this is a fantastic thing you have done.
So very happy it was not a spoof.

But Aught-sixguy say it was a spoof, would it have been in Bad Taste?

It is the real deal, I actually saw it on IG before here. As for not applying, I commend you guys. I applied because I'm a disabled vet, and can't afford a pig hunt. As for the spoof, absolutely it would be bad taste. Trolling vets is not something I take lightly.

Thanks inchr! Yes I have! In fact, soon I will go from Aught-Six Guy to .20 Ackley Improved Guy! I'm going to retire the ol' 06 and rebarrel her into a more LR friendly caliber this spring. But, I will give the ol' girl her one last hurrh on the hog hunt. I will be field testing some new .308 ULD bullets from a new bullet company here in Salt Lake called Gallant Bullets. I figure a big ol hog will be the perfect test for expansion and timeliness of kill.

This was not a spoof. I won the hunt drawing on instagram. I'm headed out there in February for the hunt. Give this guy some credit. He's a good guy, and he wanted to do something for vets. Don't have sour grapes and trash the dude because you didn't win. He's just not on here every day.

Congrats brother. Glad to see some one from here won. If you read in my upper post I said that I think you had to follow on the other social platform to win or get info. I never thought it was fake. Nice of him to do this. Got a little side tracked talks by about our vets deserving much more than our country gives them. Some have give a whole lot for not much more than a thank you. Guys like the Lt. Col are just now going to the va or getting discounts they should have got after the Vietnam war. I'm sad for those guys but so happy to see people take care of the newer service members. Warms the heart to hear story's of free dinners and hundred dollar bills. God bless our great country and all the service members that make it that way.

Thank you sir. I have always enjoyed reading your post and you seem like a real stand up guy. Don't worry, I'm a brat and do not give up easy. Been working on hunting rights for a few years now. Only ever had one guy from here up to my spot but if things go right I will be sharing from time to time. Maybe we will still get out for a gun hike sum time. Thanks brother. I agree. I may be a little biased being a disabled vet, but I wish more could be done for vets in the hunting world. The outdoors is wonderful therapy for ptsd, I'm living proof. That being said, you can go look up Hunts For The Brave and nominate the Lt Col for a hunt. One of my buddies got nominated and won an elk hunt here in Utah, and he scored a gorgeous 6x7 bull. Check em out!

I sent a email to one of the company's. Would be cool to get something like this going in California. Lots are out in Texas. i see only one problem for now but we will see. They want all his contact info up front. If some one tells him what we are doing he will shut it down. The only way to give something to a man like him is to surprise with it. It would not be hard to learn all about him and his record of service with out talking to him first. Most guys on the level do not ever like help. It's kind of sad because the deserve everything and more. Thanks guys. Time will tell.
