Golden Gate Rec Area No. 2 visited parkland in America

The Golden Gate National Recreation Area, with 14.5 million visitors, was the No. 2 most visited national parkland in America last year behind Blue Ridge Parkway. In addition, Yosemite National Park was the No. 3 most visited national park, behind Great Smoky Mountains and the Grand Canyon. When the National Park Service announced these numbers last week, and I forwarded the news with this new Twitter account I’ve got, and a number of readers responded for the specifics and the rest of the list.
