Don't you think something is wrong when a non-native nuisance animal is considered a game animal?! Do you not know why we have the DFG in the first place?! You think Fish and Game Commission's where created for the hunters?! We are here to restore nature to is natural state, we are conservationist and I will be damned if I ever thought of conserving a non-native animal. .[/b]
I don't see why they would ever change that, unless its to increase the price of a tag..[/b]
I can't believe you still don't get the point. If people quit paying, there are two choices, not just one. Lower prices, as you say, or stop doing it altogether. If there isn't any room to lower prices and still make a profit, then operations shut down. I doubt you'll find anybody that will work for free. If you want a swimming pool at your house but instead of paying the $20k price you only want to spend $5k, do you really think someone will dip into their own savings accout to come build you a pool? No way. If they don't have enough business then they shut down and do something else. They don't just start doing pools for free........and you just end up sitting in the front lawn with a water hose and sprinkler. But I guess you showed those damn pool guys huh?Solution is very simple!
Stop paying high prices so they have no choice then lower the fees, people that overpays keeps the inflation up, very simple.
If someone wants to spend 20K for an elk hunt in California (for a genuine chance to harvest A 400+ RM bull elk) that does not make him an "idiot."Speck – are you serious. They’re not Tules? Now that is stupid. If anyone pays $20,000 for a Rocky Mnt Elk you are an idiot. I thought they were Tules and I know there are a lot of hunters that have millions of dollars to blow on crazy hunts. If you’re a millionaire and want to complete your slam, what other choice do you have exept to pay a ton on money to kill a Tule. But to pay that much money for a Rocky Mnt – you are a idiot.
7mag – I’m from CA and hunt near Carbondale in CO. (I think its area 43) My brother and I try to go every year. He gets a bull tag and I get a cow and deer tag. There are campgrounds you can stay in (and hunt right out of) and you don’t need a guide. It’s a great inexpensive hunt.
I don't think is demand what keeps prices up, but suckers that overpay and ruins the fun for the rest!
The multiple ironies in this simple statement both astound and amuse.I don't think is demand what keeps prices up, but suckers that overpay and ruins the fun for the rest!

Just spending the weekend at Tejon is worth the price of admission.Facts:
2+ days hunting at Tejon $450 ea hunter 20 hunters minimum.
Q: Some of you guys might get the pig the first day or maybe in just a few hours right?
What are you supposed to do the rest of the day and the days follow?
Are you just gonna sit there for another two days and watch and drink beer etc.
They should let hunters hunt at least 2 pigs for a 2-1/2 days to make the hunt worth.
I rather pay $600 and bag two pigs in two+ days than just be sitting at the camp.
I honestly think that having two plus days to hunt doesn't make sense if you can only kill one pig.
PS: is this hunt a no kill no pay kind?
