In a karmic circle, I got paid back for my evil deed from years past. A ghost long forgotten returned to haunt me. For part of a story for Thursday’s Chronicle, I led a small group last Friday on a hike to a mountaintop. As we started, a strident female voice, announced, “Activity started.” The nuance of the voice sounded like an irritated roommate ordering me to pick up my socks.
