Most people I've talked to haven't had any good results with the hog grunter. One guy I talked with said he had decent results on young pigs.

7 more days till the action starts, i got camo and equipment laying all over my house, it looks like a hunting lodge! last night i marinated

some chicken breast and steak medaillons in three different sauces

and i have a sauce for some fresh wild piggie backstaps

the overnight temps. in Hollister around 30 degrees right now! and the extended forcast till the 9 th. looks good right now

Cold weather hunting... that's something I don't get enough of in California.

Chopper, has the fog been an issue lately? I remember a December hunt there a year or two ago where it got pretty dang thick.

I am still trying to think of something to bring up for my food contribution. I will consult with the chef's in my family and try to rustle something up. As far as meeting, is everyone meeting at the Safeway at 10:30? Also, Chopper, what is your favorite beer nowadays? I Gotta stock up.

Anyone play poker? We usually bring along poker chips and a few stogies.
