Howdy Steve and Phil.... I would like to ask you guys to rate the ranch you will be hunting compared to the place I brought you guys( nothing negative to you tusker, your ranch sounds awesome, read on) Ever since we threw the hide/head in the brush that day, I've been thrown off the ranch. Please know it was no fault of you guys. In the past, the coyotes and bugs made short work of the leftovers. This A-----e caretaker has told the owner we did it on purpose to stink him out. He also told her he saw an arrow sticking out of a doe(BS), and a host of other lies. I'd like to pound him, but that won't help. So I am now searching for a new place to hunt. I hope my good karma comes back to help me. The owner, very old, tells me she can't live there without his work, so I'm out. Stay tuned to this very interesting story. Can you spell Jimmy Hoffa?

Yeah, it's a danged shame you lost that spot. That was some awesome turf. Figures that, as soon as I get it figured out, the hunting is off.

That caretaker sounds like a total jerk. He should be replaceable, though. Hey, you can operate a dozer, right? If not, I can teach you. It's been a while, but it's pretty basic. Maybe it's time to give the fire department a rest.

I'll be sure and let you (and everyone else) know how it goes at Chopper's. I've been around that area, and it is pretty nice. Lots of hogs.

Let me know how it goes finding a new spot.

Hey Mike,
No offense taken, this hunt could make or break me. If it sucks, everybody is gonna find out right here on the web and my business will dwindle. If it's as good as I think it's gonna be, the stories will be good to read. The end of March should be just about right to see plenty of hogs. I'm looking forward to meeting everybody and reading all about it right here.

And Bubba makes 6, 2 more spots to fill.

Bigtusker hit on the head. Those 3 that he mentioned are the BEST and all are fairly close to you. My buddies uncle own Los Gatos and they do an excellent job. The other 2 are the best if you want smoked items. I've had PLENTY of meat from all 3 and you cannot go wrong with any of them. If $$ is an issue I THINK Freedom might be your best bet.

Sorry you can't make it. We always like to meet new JHO people. Maybe you can make the JHO Ham Slam at Tejon Ranch in May. Check the pinned topics at the top of the hog forum. It would be a great way for you to meet a lot of JHO people and maybe get a hog in the process.

Another place to consider, and the place I will be taking my hogs (notice I said plural, gotta be confident ;-) to is a place called Ralphs Custom Smoke House in San Jose. I can't speak to the other places mentioned but I'm sure they are great if they were recommended here. I had a good experience and some AMAZING ham and sausages out of my last hog I took to Ralphs !

looks like i just missed it by an hour i want to go but i also have a buddy that whants to go. is there nay way we could let 9 go i will overnight the check if this is ok

if it poses a room issue in the cabin we would not mind a tent out side i kind perfer the out side any way
