For anyone coming up Hy 101, the best bet would be to take the First Street exit into King City. Get off the Highway to the right, follow that road all the way to Bitterwater Road, the road will make a right hand turn and turn into Bitterwater Road. Follow that all the way out to Highway 25 and make a left. From that intersection to the store is about 32 miles.

Is it working?

It was cold as a well-driller's butt this morning... a very chilly motorcycle ride to work!

Looks like it'll be warmer and sunny through the week, though.

I just noticed that the new moon in March is on the 20th !!!! Being fairly new to hog hunting and really not knowing their habbits like a do the deer I have to ask. Is the new moon a good time for hog hunting? Just curious.

Looks like our "warm weather" dances are starting to pay off !!!

Hunting on the new moon will be better than on the full moon. When there is a full moon, the hogs stay out all night to feed.

Hey all, Just wanted to write and say good luck. If by chance somebody has something come up and don't think they can make, please let me know and maybe I'll be a fill in.

I'm sending the deposit check tomorrow. Bigtusker should have it close to the 20th. I've got my bow dialed in and ready to stick some hogs.

Well, I am pretty much dialed in with the old bow if worse comes to worse. Got the new one almost 2 weeks ago but sent it back to the manufacturer for a minor issue. Should be 100% and back in my hands hopefully by this weekend. That will give me plenty of time to shoot hundreds of arrows and get her tuned and the broadheads sailing into the kill zone.

Well, I just dragged the recurve out back after almost two-weeks of inactivity.

DANG! It took a while, but I'm sticking them all in the kill zone again. Need to shoot a lot more before the hunt though!

I went out and shot all morning on Saturday. I just finished some wood arrows and they were flying pretty good. However, like Speck said, I need to shoot a lot more before the hunt.

this sounds like a fun hunt. me & my brother are kinda committed to the hog slam, but if we don't get our apps in time & maybe if there is still room here we would like to go.

Hey Dave,

If things settle down a bit (switching jobs right now), I should be able to whip up a big batch of elk chili for one evening. Does anyone have a problem with SPICY
<
?

I agree that we ought to fend for ourselves for lunches, breakfast and beverage, since coordinating that kind of thing can get tricky. Besides, I plan to be up to my elbows in blood and gore by lunchtime both days.
