Hog Hunting Adventure

A few sheds and 7 (there were many, many more, but we forgot to pick'em up) great reasons why LD and myself need more range time

I did find the one animal that i knew i could kill with a rifle, sure he was half crippled and couldn't run..........pretty sure he had a broken rear hip, so i ended it quickly for'em

I had to borrow LD's Encore for this one, then proceeded to take 4 shots....pretty sure all of'em where direct hits as there was only one entrance/exit hole. Pretty proud of myself for putting 4 shots w/in a 1/2" of each other at 160 yards.

I brought my 16 week old GSP along to see how he'd do on quail...well, he said bird hunting is for sally's and he'd rather tag along on hog hunts.

The best part; LD had just slung a bullet at a real nice oreo hog, then my monster stepped out. He was a bit upset, so he decided to whack a few quail.....then, well, luck shinned upon him.

Up to this point in the hunt i had taken shots at:

Black hog 1 miss
Spotted hog 1 miss
3" Boar 4 shots, 1 hit
Bobcat 2 misses
Coyote 1 hit

TOTAL: 9 shots! My new name, 'BulletSlinger'

Ground shrinkage didn't occur on this hunt the hogs kept getting bigger and bigger!

Brother, I try real hard to be encouraging... but really. Stick with the bow.

I was 2 for 3 on shooting the encore.

A little better percentage than our BulletBoy.

You know your in trouble when you have 5 extra rounds strapped to the encore and AS is asking for more bullets.
We were thick in the hogs yesterday and the big boys were out roaming during the daylight hours.
