We let little Hank-da'Tank loose on his first live hog and luckly he found him within 80 yards, bayed the downed boar, and ran right by him!

I'm brand new to the hog thing - I'm used to deer & elk. How does a big toothy critter like this eat?

I spent the day at Lake Sonoma last Thursday. Found lots of sign (the higher I went, the more I saw) up the Dry Creek arm but couldn't find the piggies. Seems like every time the sign started getting real promising I ran into a fence.

Any advice is most appreciated.

Hank did a great job on the pigs, ran right by 2 downed quail and made his first retreive....a shotgun shell! I was a proud dad.

LD's pig is absolutely huge!!!! and like he said, way over 3". Lucky turd!

It was an awesome 1/2 day hunt yesterday, left Folsom in the morning, hunting by 6:30am and home for an early dinner.

Hatchet, it don't matter what you're shooting when you don't hit nothing... it's a sad day when Robin Hood lays down his bow and takes to the rifle, but here is the standard result.

Shock and Awe is right... with that amount of shooting I expect those hogs just drew straws to see who'd give up. The bigguns lost (or won) and the shooting finally stopped.

Damn, I crack myself up.
