TRA, take a look in the Help forum for a full explanation. For the most part, you can pretty much ignore it unless you start posting up nekkid wimmen, foul language, or personal attacks.

Somehow, I don't really see any of those things coming from you.

7mag,

First, yes, you're wrong. Reasonable cause IS enough for a game warden to come onto private property. This can be based on something they've witnessed (such as apparent waterfowling violations, "unusual" activity), or on something reported to them. If they think the laws are being broken on a property, they can come in the gate.[/b]
Ok! I guess game wardens may come onto your land legally, but I don't think they can break in your home to search your freezer without a warrant it does not make any sense to me, LE needs permission from the property owner to come into your home or a court order otherwise.
Please show me wrong?

I doubt if they would BREAK into your home to look in your freezer. But they can wait for you to get home and open it for them.

very much so.

There was a story here in the foothills a while back in which a guy was fishing on HIS pond on HIS property that HE stocked and fish and game cited him for not having a fishing license. Welcome to the Republik of Kalifornia[/b]

are you sure you need a fishing license in cal. to fish a private pound? I always thought that you didnt because the fish cant leave your proprty so the fish wouldnt belong to the state kina like the fenced proprty law with hunting. did he have the state stock the fish because then he would have to have a fishing license because the state will only stock it if you make it open to the public for the next five years. i could be wrong but that is what i have allways herd and their is a private pond here localy where you have to pay to fish and they advertise that their is no fishing licence required because it is private proprty.

If you are a taxidermist they can come at any time and examine your shop, books, and freezer. If you have one tag out of place or not filled out correctly, even if the tag was filled out by the hunter, you will be cited, not warned, cited.

Also, there are several high fenced hunting operations in CA. One near here is in Tehachapi. Since the animals in such a hunt aren't wild, you don't need a license or tag.
