I am giving up,im surounded by national forest and conservation land, but it is very very iffy on killing a nice buck,i have been scouring the country side looking for private land to hunt with very little luck,i do have some to hunt but access is difficult at best.(I just want to harvest at least 1 wall hanger before i die)
So after this season is over im going to breakdown and try to lease some hunting land, this goes agianst every grain in my body but I have to sadly admit that this is the direction everything is headed for everyone. otherwise you are stuck with yearling bucks that the MDC has no interest in letting grow up,all the MDC wants to do is cash out on tag sales every year and claim that its all in the name of herd control,if they was really interested in controlling the deer herd in Missouri they would go after doe's,letting the small bucks get some age on them dont cause the deer population to get out of control at all,After all bucks dont have fawns.Missouri is surrounded by QDM states but sits idly on its hands and dont do nothing.
OK im done ranting and raving, tommarrow is a new day and maybe things will look better then.
