7mallards, it isn't just giving your opinion, it is the way you talk down to people and make sarcastic remarks to actually putting people down. It isnt just one person on this forum who has noticed

Newman thank you for the remarks... When people post things what they post is subject to positive and negative remarks...This is a FORUM based on opinions and nothing more no one is right no one is wrong...

It isn't about right or wrong and sharing opinions. You can give opinions and still be respectful when replying to people.

Gozag don't apologize for your questions. I started out here with questions on my first x9a tag and some of the old veteran members gave some great advice. They didn't have to-they just did. I live in the valley and I advise coming a day or two right before the season and picking your spot that way if possible. If not birds are usually thick in the southern area close to the border. Check along the canals for any grain fields.

I'm really torn sometimes between giving "The Stock Answer" and an accurate answer. Its good to take one for the team once in awhile, like them Ol' Boys did for you! Lets just have a great opener and kill a bunch of birds!!

Guys stop whinning about others posts. 7mallard ive told you before man you need to watch how you answer people. Justguy you can get on peoples nerves too. Stop bickering on someone elses thread. If you dont have anything constructive to help the guy out dont say anything. Now back to the OPs post. There should be updated maps on which fields are planted and which ones have been harvested already. If you cant find that info on the dfw website try giving Wister a call. They might be able to help you out. This is there number from last year. I dont know if its changed. I hunt waterfowl and upland game there.

I have scouted the IV twice this summer. First in June (sucked) then August (good). The number of euros seems to be less probably because people are hunting them all year ( me included) no white wings, and morning dove seem about the same. Going down next week again

It seems this year like a particular area is holding a lot of one species of dove, more so than normal. This applies mostly to the Euros and Whitewings, with Mournings mixed in with everything. Maybe I am just paying closer attention but some areas have 90% of a single type dove. This is happening over large areas, not just at a single hot spot. So if you are not seeing the type or numbers of birds you are interested in take a look at locations that you don't think would be holding birds. We did this last week. We have been driving past this one location all summer which looked like it had some potential on our way to one of our regular hot spots. We decided to stop. This was, hands down, one of the best Euro spots we have found in 2 years of continuous dove hunting. If you do your homework and pay your dues you should be able to put yourself on the X. Leave a few for me!

Forums are not for giving away spots or places to go.. Internet scouting should not be allowed at all and guys need to get out there and do the work THEMSELVES rather then ask Gee I wanna go hunting not asking for your honey hole or not trying to be an inter net scout but if you ask then you are being one??
What about the guy that have no idea how to hunt these animals? Don't know where to begin. I never had anyone take me and teach me how to hunt. So without trying to be a troll I would really love someone to help me.

Meet on the Level, part on the Square.
