Is a 7mm rem. mag. enough gun for Oryx ?

I shoot 160gr Nosler Partitions and would think that it's big enough but after reading some threads on oryx hunting I'm having doubts. I know it has enough punch but it's with a small fist.
Oryx hunters, what do you suggest ?

I think you are fine. They are a tough animals and their vitals are located differently than North American animals.
They will give you a diagram of where vitals are.

I'd think it would be fine and should put that critter right down. I'm going to draw me a tag this year and I'm not sure if I'm gonna tote my 30-06 or .270 wsm. Probably the 30-06 shooting 165gr Interbonds in Hornady Light Magnum.

my wife used my winchester 30.06 with 165 grain...1 shot..37" cow 217 yd shot

I used weatherby .300 mag 319 yd 1 shot...35" bull with 180 grain..

both bullets are factory..if u hit right vitial shot.. you wont have problem..just below the black strip on the chest.. like paulc said..will give u the diagram where to shoot...

both taken on Rhode Canyon...

No problem with the 7mm,I shot a gemsbok in Africa with my 7mm.I used some hand loads with 175 gr. Swift A-frames.Smokin bullet,buddy did the same with his weatherby 7mm and same bullet.Shot placement is key.LOL..
