Always consult the DFG directly. And yes, you need to have a parent or guardian to get into an R movie.

It is my understanding that it is legal for a licensed minor to hunt alone. However, it is my understanding that minors may not possess firearms without consent of their parent/guardian. I doubt a game warden would enforce the firearm law unless there was another problem, but you never know!

After my son turned sixteen and had a drivers license, he often went hunting alone or with other minors. He hated it; but I stapled my business card to his hunting license with a short consent note signed by me.

It is legal to hunt alone if you are under 18, but you can't hunt on state wildlife areas alone. If you are under 18 and want to hunt on a Wildlife area then you need to have someone over 18 to hunt with you.

I think that I might have been a little wrong on this one. The rule is that if someone is hunting with a Junior license then they need to have someone over 18 either hunting with them or being along while in the field as a nonhunter. You should be ok if you have an adult license and go to a wildlife area to hunt. You should contact your local warden to get the exact answer.

You can hunt alone as long as you are 16, but your parents are still responsible for any mischief you may cause. I know this because I called DFG and asked back when i was 16!
