Just got back from Camp Five Outfitters, second time in six weeks I think I need a twelve step program for pig hunting. Anyway I got a two hundred pound pig and the other three guys in our party also tagged out. It was a great trip and the weather was excellent. One of our guys wounded a hog and went up a very steep mountain to retrieve it. We were all watching from the hill immediately across from the one the pig was on. Anyway what a show, the pig was in brush and we couldn't see it and either could the two guys looking for it. Suddenly we saw the pig moving up the hill slowly and we began directing the guys to it. They still couldn't see it but as they got closer one of them slipped and began to slide down this very steep hillside. Out of nowhere the pig came from down hill and began charging the guy who was scrambling like hell to get back up the hill. It looked funny but it wasn't since this pig was pissed. The pig lost its footing and slid down the hill before getting to the guy but the guys slipped again, went down the hill toward the pig and repeated the whole show one more time. Kind of reminded me of the scene from jaws where the captain was sliding into the shark's mouth. In the end the guys got to the pig and finished it but we had a great time at dinner telling and re-telling the story.
