Kurtish, great job on the sheds and the pictures they look awsome. Hey, are you from Blaire Taylor? I was just wondering because I'm from Gilman Wi. Shed hunting around here is alot different than up in Canada. I have found 15 so far this year in Taylor County. I still have to figure out how to put the pic's on the site. Anyway, this has been my best year also so keep working the woods and I will check in with you later.
Bonecollector- yeah i live just outside of Blair towards Ettrick....good to see a local shed nut on here! Welcome to the forum and keep us posted on all of your findings.
I've been busy the last three days scouring the woods and fields for bone and i'm pretty pleased with how my season has shaped up. Last Sunday i made it out for about 4 hours in the evening in hopes of finding the match to the heavy 4 pt. that i found a few weeks ago. I started on the same point where i found the first side and started griding the whole area. I did this for at least an hour and i was starting to lose hope in finding the other side. I was crossing the berm of a water retention pond when i looked below me and seen the match laying on the side of the berm. The match ended up being about 100 yards away from the first side that i scooped up.

Here's the match together...this pic makes me thirsty
After finding that match i headed back to my truck and drove to a different spot on the farm where i wanted to cover a creek bottom. After awhile i came across a small hump that i figured the deer might bed on....i slowed down in here and managed to spot this old goofy shed from about 30 yards through the tag alders
I then continued along the creek without finding much fresh sign so i headed for higher ground and to cover a section of set aside ground. I was pretty proud of this old 2 point that i managed to find grown over in the grass

A short while later i seen something that looked like it couldve' been a beam sticking out of the grass...sure enough it was a nice little 4 pt. from a past season
I didn't have to work on monday so my father and i got permission to walk some new ground and we headed out to see what we could find. We were going to cover some pasture ground that i've been watching the deer frequent this winter. We hadn't walked for more than five minutes when i looked ahead of my dad and seen a tine sticking out of the oak leaves. I hollered for him to keep his eyes peeled and then i looked ahead and seen this chewed up one in front of me.

Dad wasn't able to pick out the horn so i walked over and pointed it out to him...small 4 pt. pretty well hidden in the oak leaves
I was taking an ATL of the small 4 point and dad said "i see a horn". No more than 15 feet in front of us layed my biggest find of the year!

Another view of it at home (you'll have to excuse the deer in the headlights look....i was concentrating on getting myself in the viewfinder of my camera)
We continued to grid the area really thoroughly looking for the match but were unable to come up with any more. We went home and had lunch and then went back to cover some more ground in hopes of finding the match. We were'nt able to find the match but we did find another 4 point side

I was feeling pretty well beat so i went home for a little break and then met up with 3 of my good buddies to cover some more ground. We walked for the last 2 hours of the day and i came up with this little 2 point in some CRP ground

That made for 5 on the day which puts me up to a total of 26 sheds on the year
I thought i recognized the big split G2 shed...and after further review it was from a 3 1/2 year old that i had passed up during our muzzleloader season. He measured out to a little over 63" and should blow into one heck of a buck next year. Here's a pic of all my finds for the day and also a trail cam pic of the split G2 buck.
i had tuesday the 27th off too but i spent most of the day dropping treestands and taking care of some chores that i've been too busy to do since shed season hit. I did manage to take a short walk and found this little three point in a picked soybean field.

Shortly after that i come across a broken piece from a mainbeam and that was the end of my finds on the day. Here's a pic of the 2 of the day
