Thinking of hunting lake sonoma this year, do you just have to regester at the office prior to hunting or is there an application that you must send in prior to going to the office? Thanks for your help.
The first time registering you have to do it in person and pay $20. After that it's self registration at the visitors center and can be done no matter what time it is.
i had a good conversation with rachel at the office and you can fax copies of your driver li. and your hunting li. and your pig tags and you call them and they will take your credit card # over the phone to deduct the $20. then they will send you your hunter # and info. i dont like the idea of giving my credit card # over the phone, so monday me and House4ursoul are suppose to go there and register then do some scouting and i will show him the set up around the lake and campgrounds, maybe hit up the bow range and then call it a good day........tra
In my opinion the area is too small for shotgun use. although I would have had 2 hogs last year if I could have used a shotgun, but I am glad that they closed it to shotgun use.
well, i am getting ready to crash get up in a few hrs, drive for almost 3 hrs to hit up Lake Sonoma and do some pre-scouting and pre-register. i got food, water, hiking poles , spotting scope, bino's and bug repellent and camera.
supose to have a partner go up with me but havent herd from him yet, i know hes hunting cache creek for turkeys this weekend, oh well the show must go on!....tra
